May 18, 2018 - (Hershey, PA)- The Washington Capitals have re-signed defenseman Tyler Lewington to a two-year, two-way contract, with an average annual value of $675,000. The announcement was made by Washington's senior vice president and general manager Brian MacLellan. The tough 6-foot-2, 202-pound rearguard collected 11 points (two goals, nine assists) in 71 contests with the Bears last season. Highlighting the announcement is the addition of Cleveland to Hershey's list of opponents.The Monsters, who have moved to the Eastern Conference's North Division, will play the Bears four times next season, including twice at the Giant Center. May 9, 2018 - ARLINGTON, Va. - The Washington Capitals have signed forward Mathias Bau to a one-year, two-way contract beginning in the 2018-19 season, senior vice president and general manager Brian MacLellan announced today. Bau's contract will carry an average annual value of $700,000. Bau, 24, recorded 23 points (13g, 10a) in 58 games with the Hershey Bears this season.
