Simpson Agrees to One-Year AHL Contract with Amerks

(Rochester, NY) - Rochester Americans General Manager Randy Sexton announced today that the team has signed forward Wayne Simpson to a one-year American Hockey League contract. Simpson, 28, joins the Amerks after spending last season with the AHL's Hershey Bears, where he finished third on the team in scoring with 42 points (14+28) while appearing in all 76 games.
